- Itinerary
- 1. Day 1, Cairo to Siwa: 05:00 pickup, about 3 hours to El Alamein, museum, war cemetery, German and Italian memorials. Lunch on the way, arrive Siwa between 13:00 and 16:00, check in at Ghaliet Eco-Lodge or similar. Sunset at Fatnas Lake, dinner, overnight.
- 2. Day 2, Siwa town: Temple of the Oracle, floating in the Salt Lakes, Cleopatra's Spring, Temple of Amun at Umm Ubaydah, Siwan lunch, then Shali Fortress and the Mountain of the Dead. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
- 3. Day 3, Great Sand Sea: 4x4 safari with dune driving and sandboarding, a freshwater lake swim, Bir Waheed hot and cold springs, sunset with Bedouin tea, then a camp with a traditional underground BBQ dinner.
- 4. Day 4, return: breakfast at camp, drive to Marsa Matrouh for beach time and a seafood lunch, then back to Cairo.
